Abstract: |
A number of previously unrecorded gravestones were revealed during the course of the work including fragments of a memorial to a young man who died in the First World War. In addition, a large fragment of decorated building stone from an earlier church on the site was identified in the revetment wall located on the edge of the original course of the River Bollin. This was removed and was to be displayed in the graveyard near the church. [Au(abr)] |
