Abstract: |
Soon after AD 120 three ranges were built, with an ornamental pool in the yard, beside the Dee estuary; the interpretation is an official residence related to lead-mining. Numerous substantial alterations were made (eight phases in all) over the next century or so, and mid-3rd century stone robbing was followed by continued occupation. Numerous finds are catalogued: pottery, coins, bones, sediments, flora and fauna, stamped military tiles. |
