Fifteen specialists contribute evidence to the understanding of the environment of this important planked boat of 9th century BC: tree-rings, radiocarbon, pollen, macroscopic estuarine flora, diatoms, insects, mollusca, gastropoda, foraminifera, ostracoda, geology, sedimentary regime, LBA climate, and likely tools are all treated, together with a history of work on the site and a description of the recording methods used.
