Indicates trade patterns at Roman Conquest; scale of Julio-Claudian viticulture; size of trade in amphora-borne commodities from Iberian provinces under Claudius and Nero. Minimum l35 amphoras, of capacity 3 to 66 litres. Most date to AD 43-60/1, with AD 5 proposed as start of Sheepen settlement. Dressel I in secondary use? Wine from at least 19 sources. Olive oil, salazones and defructum syrup from Spain. |
