Fieldwork over the last decade has changed views of prehistoric activity in the county. Five projects are described: those of the prehistoric claylands, of Medbourne (four parishes of mixed geology), of Oakham (to understand two adjacent flint scatters), of buried soils, and of Iron Age Leicester.
