Abstract: |
A single visit was made to the site on the 12th July 2005. It was observed that c.250mm of topsoil had been removed from the line of the drainage run exposing clean undisturbed yellow clay. Towards the NE corner of the site a length of drainage run and a 1.8m sq pit were examined during the visit. These cuts clearly demonstrated that the exposed clay was the natural subsoil of the area. The spoil heaps were also scanned for finds, but no evidence for previous occupation/ activity on the site was observed. |
