Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out at St. Philip''s Cathedral Churchyard between March 2000 and September 2001. The work was carried out during groundworks undertaken as part of the Birmingham Cathedral Square Restoration Project. There was a high density of burials across the whole site. Grave monuments and burials wre also recorded. The project produced a wealth of information on the population of Birmingham at an important period of the city''s decvelopment as an industrial centre. |
