Abstract: |
English Heritage level 3 record of five late 19th and early 20th century structures on the southern end of Brentwood School prior to redevelopment as a new sixth form centre. The main building, Otway House, is a former vicarage built in 1877 and acquired by the school in 1927. It is built in the gothic style and is to be retained in the development. The others, an extension to the house completed in 1928, a small 1877 outhouse range and c.1910 gym and lodge, are to be demolished as part of the plans. The latter three structures have architectural and historical significance with the school. |
