Abstract: |
Small 19th century malting, Ware-pattern design, believed to have been built soon after the railway line to London and station were built (c.1842). Much altered due to tenure of engineering firm Fyfe Wilson from 1921 to 2002. Germinating floors and steeps removed as well as kilns and kiln roof. Barley loft, barley store attic and maltstore survive largely unaffected. Scheduled for demolition |
