Abstract:		 During November 2007, a watching brief took place at Crabtree Cottage, Gossoms End, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire in advance of the construction of four houses. An area was stripped for the proposed development. The only deposits observed were overburden, above gravely flint subsoil. No archaeological features or artefacts were observed within the limits of this site.
