Abstract:
An Archaeological watching brief was undertaken by ULAS on behalf of Leicester City Council at Bath lane, Wells street, Holy bones, Vaughan way and High street Leicester ( NGR SK 580 045), with attendance commencing on Tuesday the 30TH of October 2007 lasting until the 14th of November and successive visits on Wednesday 30th of January and the Monday 4th of February. The watching brief attended three sets of groundwork's, associated with phase 1 of several street refurbishment episodes for the ward of west bridge. No significant undisturbed archaeological finds or deposits were observed. The results of this watching brief are therefore negative
