Abstract: |
The site lies immediately outside the earthwork rampart of the medieval town ditch (SAM OX234) next to the Bull Croft. An edge of an original cut for this ditch was identified, 2m to 2.5m further west than the extant monument; unfortunately no dating evidence was recovered. A survey was made of the profile of the earthwork. |
