Abstract: |
In November 2007 Archaeological Services and Consultancy Ltd (ASC) carried out an archaeological watching brief at land to the rear of 88-84 High Street South, Dunstable, during redevelopment. The excavation of geotechnical pits, footing trenches and a soakaway were monitored. Two cellars of late 19th or early 20th century date were revealed. No archaeological remains dating to before the mid 19th century were observed, as was a possible ditch terminus or pit of unknown date, extending to the west of the site. |
