Abstract: |
An historic building survey of the pre-1939 ranges of the Episcopal Middle School (later Bishop Blackall School and Exeter College Bishop Blackall annex) was prepared prior to conversion to student accommodation. The building was constructed as a purpose-built school in the late 1880s, and included classrooms, offices and an assembly hall. Due to expanding pupil numbers the building was enlarged several times, with the addition of new classrooms, specialist science rooms, and later a gymnasium, and art room. The building remained in education use until the recent past. |
