Abstract:		 Watching Brief comprising the monitoring of the topsoil strip of the routeway for the new bypass. Prior to the watching brief a series of environmental samples were taken. A single bore core was taken and analysed, along with the hand excavation and sieving of 50, 10 litre samples along the sand bank identified by previos work on the site.
