Abstract: Trial trenching and excavation was undertaken in an area of known Roman settlement that included the remains of an aisled building discovered in 2003. The investigations located the continuation of the late Iron Age/early Roman ditched enclosure found in earlier excavations. This enclosure showed evidence of re-cutting and is believed to have continued in use into the Roman period. A post-built building was located in the S part of the enclosure which may be contemporary with the aisled building.
