Abstract: |
Low level building record of a badly-fire damaged late 19th century light industrial building (5-7) and its 1950s neighbour (7-11), both of which were latterly used as a city bar ('the Prophet') and offices. In a very bad state, supported on scaffold before demolition and redevelopment. Nos 5-7 is the more interesting of the two, of pier and panel construction on several levels built of red and yellow bricks and an iron joist frame. its facade displays terracotta friezes between floor and moulded pediments on the ground floor. |
