Abstract:
A desk-based assessment was carried out for the site of Albion Wharf, Ipswich. An absolute level survey was also carried out in order to determine the extent of truncation from modern cellaring. The site was thought to have high potential for the preservation of Anglo-Saxon and later remains close to the Key Street frontage, while land closer to the river would be characterised by deep reclamation deposits.
