Abstract: |
Prehistoric features, probably dating to the late Bronze Age or early Iron Age, were cut into the truncated remains of a buried soil horizon. The remains comprised a small ditch, a gully, a small pit containing charred hazelnut shells and a possible posthole with undiagnostic sherds of prehistoric pottery. A post-medieval field bounday ditch probably dating to the 18th/19th centuries, and shown on the 2nd edition Ordnance Survey map of 1888, was also identified. |
