Abstract:
Three 0.5 x .05m test pits were dug to the rear of the house to establish the presence of any voids prior to scaffold being erected to repair the roof. Upper layers contained mixed material relating to the c.1910 restoration but below these were well-preserved late medieval and post-med layers.
