Abstract: |
Halcrow Group Ltd, on behalf of Worcestershire Highways, has commissioned Headland Archaeology (UK) Ltd to undertake an evaluation by trial trench on land south of the A4440, Worcester (Illus 1). The evaluation comprised 5 trenches, three of 50m in length , one of 40m and one of 10mm in length. A small area representing a surviving archaeological horizon was recorded towards the northern end of the site, while southern evaluation trenches indicated that the site had been previously, truncated removing any remaining archaeological significant assets. |
