Abstract:		 An evaluation was conducted at a proposed mineral extraction area on land at Birchall Farm, located between Panshanger Quarry to the east and Welwyn Garden City to the west. A total of 62 trenches were excavated within the DA. This resulted in the uncovering of late Bronze Age to the early Roman, medieval and post-medieval activity.
