Abstract: |
In March 2011 an archaeological watching brief was carried out at Salden Manor, Cooks Lane, Mursley, Buckinghamshire during the construction of a tennis court. The topography of the site consisted of a banked area along the western side of the site. Upon excavation the bank comprised made-up ground containing significant quantities of dumped orange bricks and tile, also a number of large limestones were uncovered that may possibly be linked to either Salden Manor or the large 16th century house that once stood immediately north of the development. |
