Abstract: |
An Archaeological Evaluation at 12-20 Paul Street and 83-105 Clifton Street, London EC2. Three evaluation trenches were excavated which encountered natural terrace gravels overlain by a seuqence of alluvium. Cutting through this alluvium was a late medieval/early post-medieval quarry pit. Sealing the alluvium was an extensive sequence of early post-medieval made ground associated with the reclamation of Moorfields in the 16th century. These were selaed by modern concrete |
