Abstract: |
Wessex Archaeology was commissioned by Videotext Communications Ltd to undertake a programme of archaeological recording and post-excavation work on an evaluation undertaken by Channel 4's 'Time Team' at St Ebba's Chapel in Beadnell, Northumberland (NGR NU 23960 28701). St Ebba's Chapel occupies a small coastal promontory to the south-east of Beadnell, and is designated a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Due to sustained visitor and coastal erosion, the chapel has been placed on the 'Heritage at Risk Register'. The state of the monument is considered as 'declining'. |
