Abstract:		 In January 2012 Archaeological Solutions (AS) carried out archaeological monitoring and recording at Bromley House, Bromley Lane, Wellpond Green, Standon, Hertfordshire (NGR TL 41615 21875). The monitoring was commissioned by Mr and Mrs Thompson in compliance with a planning condition attached to planning permission for the construction of a single rear extension to the house. The site is located in a rural location at Wellpond Green, c. 2km west of Standon, Hertfordshire. It lies close to Area of Archaeological Significance No. 104 and to a Roman road which leads to an area of pottery manufacturing. The site had a potential for Romano-British archaeological remains. In the event the monitoring revealed no archaeological features or finds.
