Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was carried out by Archaeological Services Durham University at the White Swan, Hunmanby, N Yorkshire in May 2012. The building is in the centre of the village, close to the church, market square and motte and bailey castle. It dates from the late 18th or early 19th century. Part of it was used as (and possibly specifically built as) a manorial court. |
