Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in relation to a proposed residential development on land adjacent to Seton Hall, Berwick upon Tweed, on 7 March 2013. The evaluation required a 5% trenching sample of the available development area totalling 356m. A total of eight trenches of varying lengths and alignments were excavated encountering post-medieval ridge and furrow in the majority of trenches aligned north-west to south-east. Neither significant archaeological features nor artefacts were encountered. No further archaeological works are considered necessary. |
