Abstract: |
Archaeological watching brief conducted during development of former 'Merrie Monk' public house site for housing. Site lies within an area of limited archaeological potential, as identified by an Extensive Urban Survey. The watching brief demonstrated significant levels of modern landscaping and disturbance that appeared to have removed any archaeological potential it once had. No archaeological remains were found. |
