Abstract: |
The brief required the recovery of a record of archaeological deposits that may be damaged or removed by any development. A Method Statement is provided (Appendix 2). The main objective surrounded the potential for the groundworks for the development to produce evidence associated with the medieval core of the settlement at Aldeburgh. The principal groundworks to be monitored were ground reduction for foundation excavation and any new services, landscaping etc. A proposed basement was not dug. The monitoring revealed a modern pit and wall footing. |
