Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 9 hectares of mixed arable and pastoral farmland. No features of probable archaeological origin have been identified, despite the potential for prehistoric and roman remains. Former field boundaries and ridge and furrow indicate that the site has been used for agricultural purposes since the medieval period. The remaining features are natural or modern and include land drains, a former pond, areas of scattered magnetic debris, modern ploughing, and disturbance from nearby ferrous objects. |
