Abstract: |
Between 3rd March and 6th March 2015, Oxford Archaeology undertook a watching brief, on behalf of Thames Water, on emergency works being carried out to repair a broken sewage pipe leading into the property at 14 Turl Street, Oxford. Medieval and post medieval artefacts were retrieved from an emergency excavation in Turl St. Constraints on the observation meant that it was not possible to determine whether the material was redeposited or indicates archaeological features in the line of what is understood to be a primary Saxon thoroughfare in Oxford |
