Abstract: |
A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 7.3 hectares of arable farmland. No features of probable archaeological origin were identified. A weak sub-circular anomaly may be related to a former enclosure, though its exact origin is unknown. A further linear anomaly may be archaeological or agricultural in origin. Former field boundaries and evidence of modern ploughing indicate that the site has a more recent agricultural past. The remaining features are modern in origin and include a former pond, scattered magnetic debris, a footpath, and magnetic disturbance from nearby ferrous objects, such as fencing. |
