Abstract: |
A level 2 building survey undertaken of an early 20th century stable range associated with Everdon Hall which is Grade II Listed. Listed building consent granted on condition the building is recorded in advance of development. The building survey revealed that the Loosebox Range has been erected against a pre-existing boundary or garden wall. It consisted of six rooms at ground level with a first floor in the two-storey section. The west end of the building was constructed to function as a bothy or shelter for the stableman/groom, as shown by the provision of fireplaces, and four loose boxes. |
