Abstract: |
Trial trenching uncovered a number of archaeological pits, ditches and possible wall foundations. The majority of the archaeological remains were dated to the late Roman period and indicated potential settlement within the locality. The recovery of a large unabraded sherd of middle Neolithic pottery suggested that prehistoric deposits may have survived below the Roman levels. [Au(abr)] |
