Abstract: |
An archaeological excavation, consisting of two test-pits was undertaken in in advance of the construction of a building extension. The ground was found to be heavily compacted, thought to be related to the Midland Railway embankment which stood on the site until 1971. No archaeological remains were encountered within the excavation depth. [AIP] |
