Short article describing the discovery of a Roman cremation burial during road construction to the east of Eaton Road at Chester. A silt deposit similar to one noted by the author during investigations in a nearby garden two years previously was observed in association with a rubble foundation. Subsequent excavations to the north of the burial revealed another cremation burial in an urn of 1st century date and parts of two further urns. The rubble foundation perhaps supported a boundary wall or a row of tombstones. LD
