Abstract: |
Watching brief on foundation trenching at a site close to both the medieval church and the historic core of Crowle. Two large pond areas contained late medieval to early post medieval finds, with the possible evidence for flax retting in one. Relatively large amounts of late medieval bricks and ceramic building material may suggest the presence of a building. Also 19th century and modern demolition/construction evidence |
