Abstract:		 A watching brief was undertaken during the construction of a new residential dwelling. No archaeological deposits or features were exposed, and the deposit sequence comprised topsoil and subsoil overlying natural. An assemblage of clay tobacco pipes from the topsoil may be associated with nearly local production of this class of artefact.
