Abstract: |
Scheme of archaeological and historic building monitoring and recording during a programme of alterations, repairs and refurbishment. The building is Grade II listed and the work was a conditioned requirement of both Listed Building Consent and planning permission. Excavation was required in a ground floor room. Some medieval remains were recorded including a substantial sandstone wall, this potentially a former rear wall of the building, some possible internal floor surfaces and part of a shallow pit. |
