Abstract:		 Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd was commissioned to carry out the watching brief during ground reduction on site ahead of the redevelopment of the southern portion of the property. The work was carried out in three stages during initial ground reduction and during the excavation of the proposed basement in the southern part of the site. During the watching brief subsoil and leveling deposits containing post-medieval material were recorded, as was a single foundation trench of a garage formerly occupying the southern portion of the site.
