Abstract: |
The evaluation consisting of 5 trenches indicated that the few extant archaeological deposits, principally wall foundations and garden features, were remnants of 19th and 20th century residences. The scarcity of archaeological features was a result of significant building and demolition impacts on the site during the latter part of the 20th and early 21st centuries. These impacts were represented principally by the extent of the modern made ground, the presence of modern masonry features and the radical amount of terracing and landscaping involved in creating the service roads in the western part of the site |
