Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief took place on the groundworks for a new detached bungalow. This identified a complex sequence of undated alluvial flood deposits which had originated from the nearby River Welland, which in turn overlay natural horizons of marine alluvium. No archaeological activity was identified on this site and there were no finds. Although the site was situated on the eastern fringes of the medieval and post-medieval settlements of Spalding, no activity or finds which could be associated with these settlements were found. |
