Abstract: A tree-ring dating programme was commissioned on timbers in the clock tower and the Governor's Room of Holy Cross church, Crediton, Devon, by English Heritage in AD 2003. The tree-ring results indicate that timbers felled in the AD 1530s are present in the clock tower, and timbers from the mid-fifteenth century and late-eighteenth century are present in the Governor's Room.
