Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in February 2017 at 283 Lonsdale Road, Barnes, London. One trench was excavated. No finds, features or deposits or archaeological significance pre-dating the modern period were found on site. Between 1935 and 1972, 20th century mapping shows additions to the building on the plot of 283 Lonsdale Road. It could be suggested that the building sustained damage during WWII, which might account for considerable made ground in the trench. |
