Abstract: |
An archaeological trial trenching evaluation for a house site on land located 80m west of Cullaird Farm Cottage, Scaniport was carried out on 12th March 2013. The trial trenching arose as a requirement of the Highland Council Planning Department prior to development of the site. Eight trenches were excavated and three possible features were recorded during the evaluation, which were interpreted as a modern plough mark, stone hole and an inconclusive deposit of charcoal rich material. No further work is recommended as a result of this evaluation. |
