Abstract: |
The building was recorded prior to demolition. Seven phases of building were identified from a two-bay alehouse in its earliest form through expansion to an inn with cart entrance prior to 1783 and the addition of outbuildings by 1840. Smaller extensions occurred in the later 19th and early 20th centuries with changes to the facade and construction of a new entrance. The late 20th century saw further expansion, and after 2013 the ground floor was converted to offices. |
