Abstract:		 A heritage assessment was undertaken to accompany an outline planning application for redevelopment of the former Thoresby Colliery, closed in July 2015. It was recommended that a programme of evaluation comprising geophysical survey and trial trenching, should be undertaken in the small area of the application site that was not covered by the colliery spoil heap and pithead.
