Abstract: In May 2016 Heritage Planning Services Ltd was commissioned to undertake an archaeological Desk Based Assessment in regards to land north of Brook Street, Warminster, Wiltshire, BA12 8DW. The study has revealed that the Project Site has the potential to preserve evidence of Medieval activity, due to the proximity of the development area to Cannimore Brook, raising the possibility of a mill in the vicinity and the proximity to Chapel Street, which is documented in this period. Furthermore, cartographic resources record Post Medieval structures adjacent to the Project Site to the east and west, confirming building activity near to the site from at least the late 18th century, with potential for the structures to have earlier origins. It is therefore considered that there is a medium potential for the Project Site to preserve Medieval to Post Medieval archaeology
