Abstract: An archaeological watching brief on the mechanical removal of material from two trenches and two trial pits located across the area of the proposed redevelopment of an adventure playground. Extenisve late post-medieval truncation had taken place across the site, and there was no evidence for the burial ground of the workhouse shown on historic maps in the vicinity of the site.
